Official Ryzom Developer Blog
Thank you bluegrazz for this testimonial

Bluegrazz, a new player on Ryzom, wrote on the official forum a very nice testimonial. :)

WOW- Spent about 4 hours in game last night and that was enough to convert me. I had issues with my video card (needed to change to Open GL) and at first it was running really poorly- Within seconds of asking for assistance I had several members of the community give me a very helpful explanation as to how to change to Open GL.

So, after playing around with the crafting for a few minutes (harvesting actually) I was amazed by the depth- This is the only MMO I have played in this Millennium where I actually had to read things- Twice…. I am in MMO Heaven right now- Skill based advancement? Sandbox? Deep Gameplay? Helpful Community? Death penalty???? Why haven’t I heard of this before? Seriously- I have been wasting my time playing EZ Mode, linear MMO’s with a bunch of 1337 Kiddies and I could have been here.

Thanks for offering a hardcore MMO that hasnt been dumbed down for the masses- In the few hours I played I have found more “meat” than I have in countless hours of “raiding”, “faction grinding” and “racing to endgame”- And havnt scratched the surface.

So why (seriously) is this game 5 years old and I have never heard of it? There are a ton of people out there who have been waiting for this game and yet they dont even know its here. I will be spreading this game around to people I know will appreciate what you have done here- I sure do.

I WILL be subbing to this game (and after only a few hours of play- It amazes me that I know this already) immediately when my trial ends- And will be focusing on my crafting/harvesting in the meantime (havnt even had to try combat yet =P )

- Thank you for the warm welcome from the community and thank you for a sandbox to play in to the devs.

You will be seeing Eppenguar alot from now on.
